Privacy Policy

What Data We Collect

The RubberGhost platform and browser extension collect minimal data necessary to provide intent-matching scores:

• Job descriptions — title, description, qualifications, and logistics you provide or that are extracted from ATS pages
• Candidate information — name and resume text from candidate profiles
• Account information — email, company name, and subscription details
• API keys — stored locally in your browser to authenticate with our API

How Data Is Used

Job and candidate data is sent to the RubberGhost API for scoring. It is processed in real-time and not stored beyond the duration of the API request unless you explicitly save it as part of your account.

Matching scores and qualification results are stored with your account for your dashboard and reporting.

What We Do NOT Collect

• We do not track browsing history beyond supported ATS pages
• We do not collect demographic data (race, gender, age, etc.)
• We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking
• We do not sell data to third parties

Data Storage

Your API key is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local. No data is synced to your Google account or other devices. Account data is stored on our servers and encrypted at rest.

Third-Party Services

The extension communicates exclusively with the RubberGhost API at rubberghost.com. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. No other third-party services receive your data.

QuickBooks Online Integration. When you connect your QuickBooks Online account, RubberGhost accesses only the data necessary to create employees and vendors on your behalf:

• Employee/vendor creation (name, address, SSN, hire date, pay rate)
• Company realm ID for API access

Onboarding data submitted by new hires (tax information, direct deposit, emergency contacts) is encrypted at rest and transmitted to QuickBooks only when you explicitly push it. You may disconnect QuickBooks at any time, which revokes all access tokens. RubberGhost does not store QuickBooks login credentials.

QuickBooks Online is a service of Intuit Inc. Your use of QuickBooks is governed by Intuit's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy at quickbooks.intuit.com.

Browser Extension Permissions

• storage — to save your API key and extension settings locally
• activeTab — to read ATS page content when you navigate to a supported site
• host_permissions — to communicate with the RubberGhost API and read content on supported ATS domains

Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting help@rubberghost.com.
